 An atypical antipsychotic approved for the treatment of schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and in the XR version along with an SSRI to treat major depressive disorder. The drug is a dopamine, serotonin, and adrenergic antagonist, and a potent antihistamine with clinically negligible anticholinergic properties.
