REVIEW
 Mitotane, a derivative of DDT, is an antineoplastic drug used in the treatment of adrenocortical carcinoma. Its mode of action alters steroid peripheral metabolism, directly suppresses the adrenal cortex and alters cortisone metabolism leading to hypocortisolism.
