GENERAL

1. I have not ordered with AKSci previously. How do I place an order?
When you place your first order with us, we may require you to fill out a New Customer Account Setup Form. This will help us input your company into our system. You may also download this form here, and then e-mail it to sales@aksci.com or fax it to (510)-429-8836.

*For NET 30 terms, complete the entire 1st page and sign the last 3 pages. Please provide us with your Accounts Payable billing information and an official Purchase Order #.
*For credit card or pre-payments, complete the 1st page excluding Company Bank/Trade References and sign the last 3 pages.

We will contact you shortly to take your order and/or receive your credit card information. A submitted order may not be processed until we have received the completed Account Setup Form from you.

2. Which payment methods does AKSci accept?
We accept credit cards (MasterCard, Visa, and American Express) and Purchase Orders.

3. How much will shipping cost for my order?
Shipping costs vary from package to package, so we may not be able to provide the exact cost when you place your order. Please note in your order if you require notice of the final shipping charge before we ship the package.

4. Does AKSci service my location?
We accept orders from and ship to most countries. Export restrictions may prevent us from shipping to a few locations.

5. How do I request a Quote, Certificate of Analysis, MSDS, or other technical inquiries?
You may send requests by email at sales@aksci.com, by phone at (510) 429-8835, or by clicking any of the buttons in your search results on our website.

7. How do I submit a bulk product inquiry, a quote for an unlisted package size, or another purchasing request? Please click any of the inquiry buttons for that product, regardless of the adjacent package size designation, and it will ask you to fill out a form. Please state the quantity desired and any other questions regarding the product. You may also e-mail sales@aksci.com or call (510) 429-8835 for such requests.

8. I cannot find the compound I want on your website, but I believe that you carry it. Try using another search criterion: you can search by compound name (full, partial, or keyword), AKSci catalog ID #, MDL # (MFCD), Registry # (CAS), or molecular formula. If you still cannot find your desired compound, you can send an inquiry by clicking any , emailing us directly at sales@aksci.com or by calling us at (510) 429-8835.

9. I want to report an error or give feedback on your website. Whom do I contact? Please email webmaster@aksci.com. Any feedback is greatly appreciated and will be used to provide better service.

10. I have not ordered with AKSci previously. Can I still place an online order?
Yes, go right ahead! After receiving your order, someone from our team may contact you to verify your information, to ascertain your intended use of our products, and to finalize your account setup with us. We may also ask you to complete our New Customer Account Setup Form. Then, your order will be ready to ship and all your future orders with us will benefit from our convenient ordering process and same-day shipping (before 4 p.m. Pacific Time).

11. Do I have to register for an account to place an online order?
No, our online order system is open access without registration. You may search our entire inventory, see up-to-date pricing and availability, add items to your cart, and submit your order without logging in.

12. Can I register for an account to save my information for the next time I checkout?
We currently do not have an online account system for customers to save their information. For now, you may enable your internet browser's AutoComplete option to more quickly fill in the fields.

For Internet Explorer: Go to "Tools (Alt-X) -> Internet Options -> Content tab -> AutoComplete Settings button" and check the checkbox, "Forms".

For Firefox: Go to "Tools -> Options -> Privacy tab" and check the checkbox, "Remember what I enter in forms and the search bar."

13. I have a concern about an online order that I placed.
Please contact us by phone at (510) 429-8835 or by email at sales@aksci.com regarding your online order.

14. Will I receive a confirmation of my online order?
We will send you an automated e-mail with your order number confirming our receipt and the complete order. We ship out orders the same day that we receive them, up until 4 p.m. Pacific Time, and we will contact you immediately if we encounter an issue. If you do not receive an invoice the day after submitting your order, or believe that we may not have received your order, please contact us by email at sales@aksci.com, by phone at (510) 429-8835, or by fax at (510) 429-8836.

15. Can I request a pro forma invoice?
Simply type "Pro Forma" in the comments field during checkout. An AKSci customer service representative will prepare the invoice and email it to you shortly.

16. What if I want to order an item that is not in stock?
Currently, our online system does not allow the ordering of items not in-stock. Please submit your backorder by fax (510) 429-8836, e-mail sales@aksci.com or call (510) 429-8835 and a representative will contact you to finalize the backorder.
